Transition Trends - Repurposing S/S fashion for the A/W season
After almost 2 months of lockdown, retailers can finally look forward to the relaxing of restrictions and start planning for reopening their doors. But as Summer is already fast approaching and at this time of year we start stocking for the A/W season, much of the S/S stock that was purchased prior to the crisis seems already to be past its sell-by date.
Perhaps it's time to rethink our merchandising to make this stock attractive to our customers - we think that the best was to sell your current stock is to market it correctly, showing customers how it can be worn transitionally going into the new season. For example, mannequins can be dressed head-to-toe in S/S 2020 stock, with autumnal touches. Short sleeves layered with A/W knitwear, short hem lines paired with woolen tights, with creativity your collection can easily be adapted to see customers through Summer then into Winter. This is key to making sales on the current stock and switching seasons easily this is the wholesale fashion buyers answer to the current overflowing stock room.
Winter trends are ready to be displayed and then merchandised for the coming new season, here at TradeGala we have looked at our brands' collections and discovered some trends which carry forward from the Spring season through to the Autumn to help inspire you. Follow our guide to these transitional trends and find a way of providing customers with the coming seasons trend with brands like Hoxton Gal, Figl and Lenitif, Independent Clothing, Goddiva, Liquorish and Estelle London, whilst still utilising your current stock.
